Meet male beagles, Butch and Sundance, best buddies and partners in crime! Retired hunting dogs, these active and vocal 5 year olds are full of energy and a compulsion to hunt out and identify scents by barking throughout their fenced-in backyard. Abandoned and found as strays when they were rounded up two months ago, they had become severely neglected and emaciated weighing in at only 14 and 17 pounds. Happy in their foster home, their fur is growing back and they are gaining weight each new day. They eagerly welcome new friends...both the two and four legged kind... but before they actually meet them, their priority is to be excellent watch dogs. In addition to good manners, they are in the midst of learning good housebreaking skills. It helps that they are treat motivated. Both are very sweet-natured and very affectionate but will continue to require a great deal of patience and time to learn the good habits of a loving pet.
