Maybe she was born with it - maybe it is MAYBELLINE. Wait a second… my name is MAYBELLINE! I can guarantee that my good looks are all natural. I don’t need cosmetics to enhance my beauty. I am told that I am a very pretty girl and that I have perfect eyeliner. I know women pay a lot of money to have tattooed eyeliner just like mine. My foster mom thinks I am a model canine citizen. She cannot believe that I was a dumped dog in southern Indiana. When I was taken to the local animal shelter, there was no concealing that I was extremely pregnant. I was so worried that I would have my babies in the cold, loud unhealthy shelter. That is not the foundation that they need to start their lives. Thank goodness, I was able to go to a nearby foster home. The day after I arrived, I delivered 8 puppies. They were sure cute, but motherhood wasn’t necessarily for me. I was thrilled to get them weaned and sent to Rover Rescue. Yippee! They have all been adopted. Now it is my turn to find my furever home with Rover Rescue. I am a 2 to 3 year old Pitbull Terrier mix. I am on the petite side, weighing in at a healthy 43 pounds. I never have to worry about future pregnancies as I am now spayed. I just hope to get my fashion figure back soon. People make me blush when they tell me that I am beautiful, but I am also told that I have a fabulous personality. I have been a dream houseguest. I make up with everyone who comes into my foster home. I am a happy girl with a tail that doesn’t stop wagging. My temporary family does not have young children, but they think I would be ideal for people of all ages. I am just so calm! If you are sitting on the couch, I do claim your lap to lay my head. Personal space is not in my vocabulary. I am learning that I have to share the affection with the two resident dogs. One is larger and one is smaller than me and I get along great with both of them. They are teaching me about these fun things called toys. So far, I have not seen the need to destroy any playthings. I have also been getting a lot of treats and I am complimented on how gentle I take them. I do have to admit that I am not flawless. I REALLY don’t like cats as I see them as competition that I need to eliminate. A kitty free house is definitely in my future. My housebreaking has been very successful. I had two urine accidents upon arriving, but have been since accident free. My foster parents are very diligent about keeping a good schedule. I am crated when I am left home alone. However, I am not crazy about my confinement. My foster mom thinks that I may be able to stay in a baby-gated area now that I have proven that I am not destructive and potty trained. I get to sleep free in the bedroom at night and have claimed the bed as my own. I may or may not snore... I do get very nervous on trips in the car. I will shake like an over caffeinated woman trying to put on mascara. I don’t get aggressive at all, but my foster mom feels so bad because I get so visibly scared. She did say a couple of trips to go get pup cups should help me become an expert. I also will need to build my confidence on the leash. I know that I will overcome my fears with love, patience and lots of socialization. If I sound like a perfect match for you, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. She will be able to answer your questions about me, MAYBELLINE. My adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming
