BOBO is a sweet and loving little 10-year-old male buff colored Chihuahua, and weighs 9.5 lbs. Bobo ended up in a shelter in southern Indiana recently because his elderly owner could no longer care for him. Despite such a traumatic and devastating change in little Bobo's life after all those years as a beloved house pet, Bobo is doing well now that he is out of that shelter and in a foster home. He was a little scared at first, and not surprising after a long six hour drive in a van full of barking dogs! But after his first night's sleep here, he started acclimating very well. I think he realized he was being loved and cared for by foster mom, and getting good food and treats. Being surrounded by friendly dogs and kitties also plays a big part too. Bobo is eating well and actually gave me a few kisses on day 2. He loves being held, which makes him feel safe. I'm looking for a home that will give Bobo more of that, holding him, belly rubs, and letting him be your lap dog. He is very quiet too, and is not much of a barker.

Bobo really enjoys being outside and doesn't mind the snow at all. He wags his tail a lot, so we know he is happy. It had to be so sad for him to lose his home just like that and end up in a scary shelter, but he wasn't there more than a few days before he came up to Rover Rescue, so at least that part of his story is very short. Bobo is making himself at home here, he likes to eat his meals in his crate and takes naps throughout the day. It's kind of hibernation time of the year, even for us humans who do not care for the cold weather. Warm weather is much more fun for foster dogs here because they have a large fenced yard to play in all day. He needs a little more work on his housebreaking skills, but he has only been here 2 days, but I see some improvement already, now that he has started bonding with me and has more positive things to think about and is more relaxed.

Bobo is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, comes with free micro-chipping and registration, free 30 days of pet insurance, is on monthly heartworm preventative, and his adoption fee is $225 (cash or check).
