Babe

TRUE SURVIVOR! Babe is app. 10-12 yr young 24 lb. female spayed terrier mix. A true "American Love Dog." She was taken from a terrible hoarding situation. Animal control had to wear masks when they came in to confiscate the animals due to the amount of filth and stench. The trailer had no electricity or running water. Babe was taken from one horrible situation and placed in another, a high kill shelter with little chance of getting out alive. But Rover Rescue saw past her sad eyes and health issues and knew she deserved a healthy happy life.

Babe may have been physically neglected but her spirit was not destroyed. She LOVES affection and attention. She will gives hugs to her foster mom and dad when they come home. She wants to be right by them whether it's sitting on the couch watching tv or laying in bed reading. Babe curls up under the blankets and will sleep peacefully all night. She is learning how much fun it is to be a dog!! It brings tears of joy to see this beautiful girl running around enjoying the back yard and rolling on her back in the grass. You can almost see her smiling. Another favorite is sunning herself on the back porch.

She gets along with her foster siblings, both dogs and cats. But her true love is her people. She adores people of all ages, shapes and sizes. You can see Babe just wants to be loved. Isn't that something we all want too, no matter age?

It took Babe a few hours to begin to relax in her foster home. Who could blame her? But with some great treats and gentle words she came around. She had to learn how to walk on a leash. It seemed as if she was never been on a walk. But now if her people pick up a leash she is right at that door!! Her foster mom is teaching her not to get excited when seeing a squirrel.

It is obvious that Babe had many litters which only added to the hoarding situation. But that does not take from her beauty, it only enhances it . It's amazing knowing all that this sweet girl has gone through and that she is still is a gentle, loving creature.

She howls with excitement when her foster mom/dad come home. She jumps around absolutely thrilled to see them. Babe's tail wags a mile a minute. It's truly wonderful to see her so happy.

Babe is housebroken and crate trained. She will take a treat from your hand very gently.

This awesome, beautiful dog did not have a great life-- hoarding, puppies, and filth. She deserves a loving family who can see her beauty through her battle scars. Babe will not let you down. She will love deep and unconditionally. If you would like to meet this dog please call Judy at 630-669-4647. The adoption fee is $100.
