Meet Maggie. Maggie is about 10 years old and found as a stray. Maggie was in horrible condition when she arrived at the shelter. She didn't have much fur on her belly and neck and all she did was scratch herself. Maggie had terrible ear infections and a yeast infection all over her body. All of that is being cleared and she is itching much less. When we looked in Maggie's mouth, it was so stinky and all of her teeth were black. A dental was done and she had 15 rotten teeth taken out and only has 4 remaining. With all of her problems you would think she would be a scared dog, but that is the farthest thing from the truth. Since healing, she has become a happy active beagle. Maggie loves to eat but she can only have soft food. She loves to have the zoomies around the yard when she is let out of her kennel. Blankets and soft beds are a must because she loves to be warm. Being a beagle means she will have to always be on a leash or in a secure fenced in yard because she will always follow her nose and not hear anything. Maggie is an easy-going girl who loves to have her belly rubbed as much as possible. Maggie has frequent potty breaks during the day and doing great with house training. She sleeps in the human bed all night without a problem and stays dry. As far as beagles go, Maggie is a quiet dog. She has gotten along with all the dogs in her foster home. She has not been around cats. Maggie is truly a sweet gentle soul who deserves the best life has to offer. Her adoption fee is $150. Her immunizations are up to date and she is microchipped. If interested please call Jen 630-801-3294, she will get back to you on her next day off. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming
