Pupdate: Chachi has turned into a great dog. He is completely housebroken and has learned sit. He walks great on a gentle leader and has been a hit at the dog park. He has gotten along with all the dogs at the park and enjoys running and playing. His favorite is tug and being chased. Chachi is not a big barker. He has earned the right to sleep out of his kennel and in my room and sleeps all night. He is a fast learner and is the happiest dog I have ever fostered.

We all know that Joanie loved CHACHI, but I think everyone should love me! Yep! My name is CHACHI and you cannot help but have happy days when I am with you. It doesn't matter if it is Sunday, Monday or any day of the week. I am a fun, adventurous boy who loves to have a good time. I am not sure why my previous owners surrendered me to an animal shelter in Southern Indiana. I am just really glad that my foster mom welcomed me into her home with open arms. She thinks I am a pretty awesome guy! The best guess is that I am a Greyhound/ Lab mix. I am still a young one with a lot of puppy energy. The vet thinks I am between 12 to 18 months. I currently weigh in at a healthy 63 pounds. I have a bright white coat and the cutest brown spot around my eye. No, I haven’t been in any fights so it isn’t a shiner. I may not be as cool as my uncle, the Fonz. Instead, I am a tall, lanky boy that is all legs and not all that graceful. I have been known to fall off the couch a time or two. Hopefully, as I get older, I will realize where my body is and respect personal space. Who knows!?! I am as sweet as they come. I love being with my people. I am really looking forward to having an active family adopt me. Once I get plenty of exercise, I will gladly snuggle with you on the couch. I may be too much those unsteady on their feet. I am working on keeping four on the floor, paws that is, but I forget when I get excited. Canine playmates are the best! I absolutely love playing with other dogs, especially if they will chase me and play tug. I really look to the other dogs in my foster home for guidance and they are helping me build my confidence. My potty training is going very well. I am accident free as long as I am on a schedule. I also do very well in my crate. I may fuss for a minute or two and then will calm down. I am only crated when home alone or at nighttime. Long walks are the best and I am sure I will be a great running mate. I am a great partner if you use a gentle leader or prong collar. I am a good passenger in the car and riding shotgun is the best. I am still working on these things called manners. My foster mom says that even though I am a teenager, I am not supposed to be mouthy. I am also told that I am not supposed to help myself to whatever is left on the counter. Geez! It is hard being a great companion. I am proud that I have learned sit in just a few days and I take treats oh, so nicely. If you think Joanie is not the only one for me, please call my foster mom, Jen at 630-801-3294. She will gladly tell you all about me, CHACHI.. My adoption fee is $225.
