Meet Sissy, an approximately 1-2 yr old 86# tri-color rottweiler/hound mix. Sissy was turned into Animal Control in southern Indiana after her owner abandoned Sissy with a friend. Despite this experience, Sissy is a bouncy, happy girl who LOVES to play.
She immediately found a tennis ball and then the squeak toys and ropes and play bowed to her picky foster brother Ajax. Sissy loves to play and has convinced her foster sister, Lady, to do so(Lady normally doesn't interact with foster dogs). Sissy has medium energy and really loves to be near her people. She's house-trained but would benefit from a puppy class(once the Pandemic winds down). She knows IN THE BED and IN THE CAR but is still working on SIT and taking treats more gently. Sissy also pulls hard on leash but a harness or gentle leader may help with this tendency. It's unknown how Sissy will react to cats or small children but she leaned into her foster mom right away and cries if she can't sleep in the bed at night.
Sissy rides great in a car, occasionally snores and it's been discovered that she's also a reliable 6:30 am licking alarm clock. As more of her personality emerges, this bio will be updated.
If you feel Sissy would be a good fit for your family, please contact Margrit at 630.820.1584. Her adoption fee is $225.
