This is Thelma. She is a hound mix. Thelma was pulled from a kill shelter in southern Indiana. She was at the shelter the majority of her puppyhood. She is so grateful to be free! Thelma is only 1 year old. She is as vocal as any hound and loves to chit chat. Thelma is crate trained and house broken. She has had one accident and that is due to being too excited for a pig ear. She had never heard the word, “treat” until she came into her foster home. Now, it is her favorite word. She always sits like a good girl for her treats. She is good with kids of all ages and sizes. She loves both men and women equally. She is also great with dogs of all ages. She is playful with other dogs that are young and respectful of dogs that are elderly. Thelma is eager to please and likes to make her human happy. Thelma loves to go on walks but she does pull because there is just so much to smell! She responds to her name though and will stop the sniffing to return to your side. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She could play fetch for hours if she had her way. However, Thelma also loves to lounge around on the couch while her foster mom is having her morning coffee. Thelma is a sweetie who craves affection and deserves it. She is at her happiest when she is right next to you or on you. She thinks that she is a lap dog. Any family or person to adopt her will have a loyal companion for life. .
