Fluffy Wuffy is not a bear. Fluffy Wuffy now has no hair. Fluffy Wuffy is no longer fluffy, is he? Yes, my name is FLUFFY and I know it. After my recent spa day, I am no longer scruffy, but sleek. You can check out my before and after pictures. I really needed the suds and shave. My fur was so matted and knotted, I had a rash on my neck. I feel so much better now, but I do think I look a little nude. I am sure glad my foster mom had some dog t-shirts for me to wear. I am sure I will look extra handsome when my fur grows back... hopefully soon. I am sure you are dying to hear more about me. I am a two year old Shih Tzu Mix. I weigh a healthy 14 pounds. My owner decided to surrender me to the local animal control deciding they did not have enough time for me while working two jobs. It is very apparent that I have not been well socialized. If I am feeling scared, I will bark and lash out. However, if a stranger gets on the ground at my level and has treats, I will warm up rather quickly. As soon as I know you are safe, I will be your best friend. My foster mom is recommending that I go to an adult only home as I work through my fear. I was not introduced to other dogs, either. I definitely had little man disease with the big dogs in my foster home. I would growl and snap at them if they got too close. Now, we are all the best of friends. My foster mom says that I am a work in progress, but oh! so worth the effort! With my original owner at work all the time, I did not get potty training under my collar. My big canine foster brothers are teaching me the ropes of doing my business outside. With a timely schedule, I am getting better about not having accidents. I am not crazy about my crate, but sleep in it during nighttime and while my foster parents are gone. I do complain, but will calm down and snuggle in for the evening. Since I can be vocal, I am not a good candidate for an apartment or townhome. I love going for walks and riding in the car is the bomb. Sometimes, I try to help drive, but I am told that my assistance is not needed. Once I love you, snuggling in your lap is my favorite activity. With a lot of love and patience, I am going to make a great companion. If you are interested in finding out more about me, FLUFFY, please call my foster mom, Darla, at 630-406-9405.
