What You Want to
Know
Harvey
is a sweet active 3-4 yr fox hound/terrier mix. He loves to run around and plays rough with
his dog friends. Harvey has a soft
white coat, big brown intelligent eyes and a “deer” like tail. He has long,
lanky legs that propel him across the yard in no time at all. Harvey loves to sit on your lap and get his
chest rubbed. He really likes long
walks so he can sniff out who has been around. Harvey does very well on the leash. He knows his name, how to sit and
shake. We are working on “down”, but his
back end always goes up when his front end goes down. Harvey
has had a rough few years. He had been
is 6 different homes in one year. His “forever homes” were not a good match
for him. Harvey used to have a spark
in his eye before his last home, but it is has disappeared. He “fear“ barks at
some people he doesn’t know, but not all people. Harvey is just unsure what is coming
next. He can be aggressive to more
submissive dogs. Harvey is very
intelligent and needs to be mentally challenged or he gets himself into
trouble. He is presently in an
obedience class and is doing wonderfully.
Harvey has run through an agility course and did very good. The goal is to get him into an agility
class, which would build his confidence. Harvey needs a family that is very
dog savvy and has the time and patience to work with him. He is not a dog for
the “first time” dog family. Harvey
would do best in a home with an active family with responsible children. If you have another dog that likes to play
rough and is not submissive, he would do great. He is housebroken and crate trained. Harvey’s adoption fee is $200.00. If you feel that Harvey would be a perfect
